Sand, Sun and Fun

Art of Sand

April 2-May 1

The Art of Sand month-long event, at the Radisson at the Port in Cape Canaveral, will give visitors an opportunity to experience 10 to 12 foot sand sculptures created by master sand sculptors from around the world, as well as other sand sculptures created by amateurs, youth and corporate teams. These aren’t the sand castles of your youth, these are gorgeous pieces of art made of only sand and water

Talented artists from Russia, the Netherlands, Canada and Japan will be sculpting at the event and two award-winning local artists Jill Harris from Satellite Beach and Thomas Koet from Melbourne.

The opening weekend festival, April 2-4, will feature entertainment, vendors, food, and a chance to see all the sculptures. Throughout the event, spectators will have the chance to see sculpting competitions, purchase merchandise, and attend other special events. Children will have the opportunity to experiment with their own sand sculptures, learn fun facts about sand and the environment and have some hands-on fun.

Admission price is $8 for adults and $4 for seniors, military personnel and children under 12.
